How Can Hiring An Attorney Affect My Health?

The cover story of our December 2013 Boyk Bulletin newsletter addresses how hiring an attorney can positively affect your health. We explain this by using our formed client, Julie Bobash’s story.

Julie Bobash contacted our law office because she had been injured in a motorcycle accident and was looking for legal advice. When she contacted us, her accident had occurred three months prior and she was suffering from injuries as a result, mainly a lot of serious back pain.

“[Contacting the Charles E. Boyk Law Office] was the best decision I ever made, coming to see Chuck,” Julie explained. “He knew many doctors in town and he referred me to Dr. Ebraheim, an orthopedic surgeon, for a second opinion.”

Read about how important it is to see a doctor for your injuries.

After seeing Dr. Ebraheim, recommended by our office, Julie discovered that her other doctor had completely missed the fact that she had a shattered vertebra. This is a prime example on why our office finds it imperative to ensure that clients have seen a reputable doctor and all of their injuries are properly documented.

Our office also checks in on our clients, just as you would for a family member. Our clients are very important to us and we want them to know that we are constantly working on their behalf, making sure we secure the most favorable settlement. Checking in regularly also helps our lawyers and legal staff recognize changes in behavior that could be a result of physical or psychological injury.

“Communication is everything,” explains attorney Chuck Boyk. “The vast majority of our clients are repear or word-of-mouth clients because they understand that we make the effort to help our people understand what they are going through and understand how we are going to fix their problem. Our goal is maximum recovery, both physically and financially.”

We were able to help Julie notify the insurance company of the true seriousness of her injuries, resulting in a proper amount of compensation for her accident. The at-fault party’s insurance company was originally only willing to pay $7,500 for her injuries and once we helped Julie, she received $109,500 awarded from the jury and another $10,950 as a pre-judgment interest.

Julie is very thankful that she called our office to help her with her injury claim, and we are happy that she chose us to represent her.
