Charles Boyk Law Sponsors 419 Music Festival
Charles Boyk Law sponsored the 419 Music Festival on Saturday, September 16th at the Fire Station Grill on Holland-Sylvania and Airport Highway.
The Hero Program helps local firefighters reduce the number of non-emergency calls to 911. The firefighters reach out to individuals and households to identify issues and improve conditions that can reduce their likelihood of calling 911 for help in non-emergency situations. Numerous non-emergency calls to 911 are dangerous because they could prevent or delay fire and EMS resources from responding to actual emergencies.
The event featured live music from local bands with proceeds benefitting the Hero Program for Springfield Township Local 3544 and Sylvania Township Local 2243 firefighters.
The Hero Program helps firefighters with outreach, and education efforts and allows them to make minor household improvements to prevent those calls from happening, such as installing safety devices like fire extinguishers, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, or grab handles to prevent falls.
