Couple Injured When Vehicle Pulls Into Path of their MotorcycleOur office represents a couple who were riding a motorcycle on Sugar Ridge Road, when another vehicle pulled out of a private drive and directly into their path of travel. Our office is investigating whether the other driver was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the collision. Upon impact, our clients were ejected from their motorcycle and suffered extensive injuries. The husband suffered a blood clot in his lung, and mangled his leg so badly that it required amputation. The wife suffered fractures to her collarbone, legs, vertebrae, and right hand. The couple are currently in a skilled nursing facility recovering from their injuries.
Vehicle Fails to Yield at Intersection and Causes Traumatic Accident
Our client was traveling on U.S. Route 224 in Medina County, Ohio along with her daughter in-law and grandson. As our clients approached the intersection, another vehicle failed to yield, turning left into their path of travel and colliding with our clients. Our client shattered her femur and was sent to a rehab facility where she regained her strength to walk again. She now has home health come to her to continue with rehabilitative efforts. Her daughter-in-law was life-flighted to the hospital where she remained for a week with a torn aorta, punctured lung, and broken facial bones.
