$100,000 Settlement – Prison Guard Assaulted By Inmates Sustains Serious Injury
Workplace InjuriesIn 2016, our client sustained serious injuries when he was assaulted by multiple inmates while working as a security guard at a Toledo area correctional facility. As a result of the brutal assault, our client sustained injuries to his head, face, and ribs. At the hospital, our client was diagnosed with a hemorrhage and contusion to his left eye, lacerations to his head, a chest wall contusion, and concussion.
Though his initial injuries eventually healed, the traumatic assault took a significant toll on our client’s mental and emotional health as he started to experience signs of anxiety and depression.
