Child ATV Accidents

A fatal ATV accident that claimed the life of a 13-year-old boy on Saturday has left one Ohio community mourning.

Dominick Nardo of St. Clairsville lost his life on Tuesday afternoon when he was involved in an ATV accident on Elizabeth Street, located off of Route 9 near Interstate 70. We are not aware of the specific details of the accident, but we would like to send our prayers to the Nardo family, as well as the young boy’s friends who are affected by this tragedy.

We have learned that clergy members have been called to the middle school that Nardo attended to help the students deal with the tragedy.

While we do not know the details of the accident, there is a list of possible causes. There are several safety guidelines to follow when operating an ATV, and there have also been cases in the past in which the ATV or its parts were faulty in one way or another, causing the accident.

No matter what the cause of the accident is, this is a tragic loss for the boy’s family as well as the community. We wish those affected by this accident the strength to make it through this difficult time.

ATV Accidents in Ohio

Our lawyers have seen the tragic results of accidents involving ATVs. These vehicles are very powerful and have the potential to cause serious danger if they are not operated by a trained individual.

We would advise any parent of a child who is operating an ATV to ensure that they are fully aware of the safety guidelines and restrictions that these all-terrain vehicles have.

If you or your loved one has ever been injured in an ATV accident due to the negligence of another individual, or due to a faulty vehicle, we would advise hiring a lawyer to help with your case. The outcome of accidents involving ATVs can be very serious, so injury and fatality cases involving ATVs should be treated as serious matters as well.
