BG Authorities Investigating Suspicious Injuries To Infant

Bowling Green authorities are investigating the injuries of a 5-month-old who was sent to the hospital with a fractured skull. Various law enforcement agencies are involved and have said they are in the early stages of the investigation. The baby boy was originally brought to the Wood County Hospital for seizures when the other injuries were discovered.

It was at this point that the hospital then discovered that the infant had a fractured skull and severe bleeding. He was then flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for further care and treatment of those injuries. The young child’s physical condition is unknown at this particular time.

Wood County Jobs and Family Services, Wood County Prosecutor’s office and Bowling Green Police are working together to come to the bottom of this incident. It is unclear if the parents of the child had a role to play in these injuries.
