Ohio Car Accident Injures Five People, One Dog

Sometimes, the most important factor in an auto crash can be the size of the vehicles involved or the number of people involved–when an accident is comprised of larger vehicles and higher number of passengers, the chances of serious personal injury occurring is much higher.
An example of this can be seen in a recent Findlay area auto accident that resulted in the injury of five people and one dog.
Ohio resident Tracy Gilbert was driving at an intersection when a woman driving a Chevy Lumina crashed into the back of her Ford van. The woman in the Lumina, who’s name has yet to be released, hit Gilbert so hard that her van was pushed forward, causing her to crash into the back of a Chevy HHR.
As a result of the impact, the Lumina had extensive damage to the front causing the airbags to deploy. The force of the airbags deploying caused the her to sustain head injuries and she was rushed to the hospital by emergency medical crews. Gilbert and the three passengers in the Chevy HHR also sustained injuries in the crash and accompanied the Lumnia driver to the hospital for medical treatment.
The victim list doesn’t stop there, however. The one passenger in the Lumnia was the driver’s dog, which was also hurt in the accident. (Only the pet was taken the the veterinarian, and not the hospital.) Although there are no additional details provided at this time, the State Police are currently investigation this accident to determine if alcohol was a factor.
