Should I Make A Statement?
Boyk Law logo, white background

If you’re in an accident, should you complete a written or oral statement? At the accident scene, if the police officer asks you to give your version of the events you should be truthful and tell them what happened and you should try to protect your legal rights. After completing an oral or written statement to the police officer, we would suggest that you do not make a statement to the insurance company. This means neither to your insurance company nor the other side’s company until you talk to an attorney.
