On February 11, 2020, our client was using the crosswalk on Eden Avenue in Hamilton County, Ohio when the defendant struck them with their automobile. The defendant was driving northbound on Eden Avenue and failed to yield the right of way of the plaintiff in the crosswalk. The impact of the defendant’s car caused the plaintiff to launch into the air before falling to the ground.
If the defendant adhered to their duty of care and kept a proper lookout while operating their vehicle, our client would not have been injured. As a result of the defendant’s negligence, the plaintiff was rendered unconscious and had to be transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center from the scene of the accident via ambulance to receive treatment for their injuries.
The plaintiff sustained severe injuries, including a grave concussion, facial injuries, bruising, and other lacerations across their body. As a result of the incident, our client required medical treatment and incurred associated costs, such as ambulance and hospital bills. Further, the plaintiff suffered severe pain and suffering, mental anguish, and emotional distress.
Our client believes that these injuries will be permanent and that they will continue to endure the adverse effects of the accident. They will need future medical care and incur additional expenses for the treatments. Therefore, the plaintiff is requesting an amount greater than $25,000, along with interest, costs, attorney fees, and any other relief that the Court deems fair.
