$100,000 POLICY LIMITS SETTLEMENT – Man Sustains Significant Injuries Including Hearing Loss After Driver Blows Stop Sign
Our client was driving eastbound when he approached the intersection of Monroe Street and South Cove Boulevard. Our client’s lane of travel had the right-of-way through this intersection, so he proceeded through it. At the same time, the at-fault party failed to yield the right of way and also proceeded into the intersection, resulting in a powerful impact between the two vehicles. Due to the at-fault party’s speed at time of the collision, our client’s vehicle was forced off the roadway and eventually came to a stop on a nearby sidewalk. The Toledo Police Department responded to the scene and cited the at-fault party for failure yield the right of way at a stop sign. A few days after the crash, the client was still experiencing great pain in his chest, shoulder, ribs, neck, and back. After seeking medical attention, the client was diagnosed with numerous injuries including several disc bulges throughout the cervical region in his back. Additionally, it was later discovered the client had suffered mild to moderate hearing loss in his left ear. The client now requires the assistance of hearing aids.
Shortly after his accident, the client turned to our office. Charles Boyk and his pre-litigation team immediately started working on this case. The team assisted with treatment referrals, managed the client’s medical bills and records, and was there for the client every step of the way. Once our client was done treating, we presented a demand for settlement to all involved insurance companies. Through negotiations, our office was successful in obtaining the $100,000 policy limits for our client.
