As the prescribing rates of opioids have soared across the country over the last decade, so has the rate at which infants are born addicted to those opioids, causing respiratory complications, low birth weight, feeding difficulties, and seizures. Between 2006 and 2015 in Ohio, 11,283 hospitalizations resulted from Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) in inpatient settings.

In 2015 alone, there were 2,174 admissions, which equates to nearly six admissions per day.

Boyk Law is investigating claims against prescription drug manufacturers and distributors for their role in the opioid epidemic.

If you have custody of a baby born addicted to opioids or diagnosed with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS), fill out the form below and click “Submit” so the attorneys in our office can determine if compensation may be available.
