The Whitehouse Christmas Tree Farm: December Small Business of the Month
The Whitehouse Tree Farm offers area families a unique
holiday experience: Walk among their 70 acres of
different species of evergreens. Once you select the
perfect tree for your home, they will cut it for you, shake
and wrap the tree for transport, and load it on your
vehicle for the ride home.
While visiting the Whitehouse Tree Farm, you can also
enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride and hot chocolate while
your family searches for the perfect tree.The Whitehouse
Tree Farm is also committed to giving back to military
families. Each year, they participate in several programs to support military families
locally and across the country.
They actively participate in the Trees for Troops program with other tree farmers
across the country. Since the program began in 2005, over 300,000 trees have
been donated to military families in the U.S., and over 16,600 trees to military
bases around the world. The Whitehouse Tree Farm personally donates over 100
trees each year. This holiday season, their trees will be shipped to Selfridge Air
National Guard Base in Harrison Township, MI. They are also donating 25 trees to
local Vietnam War Veterans.
The Whitehouse Tree Farm is located directly across from The Butterfly House
at 11500 Obee Road, Whitehouse, Ohio. They are open Tues – Fri from 2 pm to
5 pm, and Saturdays & Sundays through 12/14, from 10 am to 5 pm. For more
