James Ferguson
He primarily handles workers’ compensation cases and subrogation, which means he ensures that medical treatment resulting from a workplace injury is paid for by workers’ compensation insurance and not our client. James also has experience in medical summaries and research, which helps our attorneys fight disputed insurance claims.
In College, he studied medicine, but he later determined that the law was the right career choice for him. After graduating from the University of Toledo’s Paralegal program, he worked in immigration law as an “Accredited Representative” through the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Later, James handled workers’ compensation cases for another prominent Toledo law firm.
James works with our attorneys on a variety of cases, thanks to his passion and skill at
researching and gathering information. He also assists our Intake team, taking calls from new clients.
James loves music and attending concerts. You can often find him at his desk, listening to music
through his headphones. He was active in physical sports from a very young age, including wrestling and martial arts such as judo, jiu jitsu, and sambo, a mixed martial arts technique he still actively practices when his schedule permits.
