Abagale McCurdy has passed the Ohio Bar Exam and accepted a position as an attorney with Charles Boyk Law Offices.
Abagale McCurdy grew up in the rural community of Fredericktown, Ohio. Her father is a machinist, and her mother was a teacher’s aide, helping students with special needs.
She attended The Ohio State University and planned to study nursing but changed her major after a class lesson on criminal psychology sparked her interest. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a minor in Political Science.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she worked in a Columbus firm specializing in bankruptcy law. After she graduated, she accepted a scholarship to study at the University of Toledo College of Law. While attending law school, Abagale accepted a Boyk Law position as a Law Clerk with Charles Boyk Law Offices.
“Working at a personal injury firm helped me realize how much I could help people here,” says Ms. McCurdy. “When somebody gets hurt, they deserve help and compensation for their injuries.
She served on the editorial board of the University of Toledo College Law Review and graduated Magna Cum Laude in the top 15% of her law class. Afterward, she accepted a position with Charles Boyk Law and passed the Ohio Bar in November.
“I am highly impressed with Abagale’s high quality of work, her drive, and her ability to relate to clients and other team members,” says Chuck Boyk. “The sky is the limit for her as an attorney.”
Abagale spends her spare time reading, hiking, and showering her hound dog, Chloe, with attention. Chloe is a hound-mix and a rescue from the Wood County Animal Shelter that we hope will make numerous appearances at the Boyk Law Offices.
We congratulate Abagale on passing the Ohio Bar and welcome her return to the Boyk Law family as one of our talented attorneys. We wish her a long and distinguished legal career with Boyk Law.
