Goodbye Dexter

ThomasCharles Boyk Law Offices is sad to announce that Dexter, one of the founding Pawtners of our firm, crossed the Rainbow Bridge recently. His sudden

passing was a terrible shock to everyone.

Dexter was the companion of paralegal Nancy Thomas, and one of her three French Bulldogs. The Frenchie trio were a constant presence in the Boyk Law Offices.

Dexter first started with the firm in our Downtown Toledo office, before transitioning to our Holland location.  He had a personality larger than many dogs, ten times his size. In our office, Dexter was a fierce negotiator, able to stare down the most stubborn treat-holder until his case was made and the prize won.

“I considered Dexter a very close personal friend,” says Chuck Boyk.  “I loved the way he danced on 2 legs and followed his mom around the office.  He was a genius at manipulating everyone to give him treats.”

Our Holland office is now strangely quiet. Although his physical presence is gone, Dexter’s spirit will linger with us, as we remember and treasure the time spent with him. Dexter is survived by the Thomas family, and his sisters Penny and Ellie. We wish Nancy our deepest condolences.
