Couple Sues After a Failure-to-Yield Crash
In June of 2019, a couple was involved in an accident with a reckless driver at the intersection of State Route 2 and State Route 358.
Our clients, a married couple from Pennsylvania, were driving along State Route 2 when a driver neglected to yield at a stop sign. The driver crossed in front of our clients’ vehicle, causing a collision in the intersection. After impact, our clients’ car struck a utility pole and a curb, both of which led to heavy property damage.
Following the incident, our clients were transported to receive medical treatment. One of our clients sustained multiple injuries, including damage to the collar bone, left shoulder, left leg, and neck. Furthermore, a tear of his rotator cuff required surgery. Due to this accident and the resulting trauma, our client incurred medical care costs, pain and suffering, mental anguish, and emotional distress.
Beyond this, both clients believe some of these losses are permanent, requiring future medical care and lasting psychological trauma. Our other client—the spouse of the injured—attributes the defendant’s negligence to the deprivation of love, affection, services, consortium, and society of her husband. Because of this, we are working with our clients to pursue compensation.
