Charles Boyk Law’s 15th Annual Bikes for Kids Contest is Underway

The first four winners in Charles Boyk Law’s Bikes for Kids Contest have received their bikes in surprise presentations at Wersell’s Bike Shop.

Hailey Blanton was nominated by her mother. “Hailey is a very special little girl. She has had some challenges in her life that she has worked so hard to overcome,” says her mother, Stacey Blanton. “She is my brilliant shining star!”

Alejandro Rivas was diagnosed with leukemia in 2022. After a year of battling the disease with multiple chemotherapy treatments each month, Alejandro is now in the maintenance phase. Charles Boyk Law supports Alejandro’s battle against childhood cancer and selects him as our second Bikes for Kids Winner of 2023.

Aiva Weeks is an honor student at Start High School who was nominated by her great-aunt, in recognition of her kindness, respect, and for giving back to her community as a member of Young Women of Excellence, a group that performs service projects in the Toledo area.

Shanice was removed and relocated from a troubled domestic environment across the state. She was nominated by her adoptive mother for bravely facing the resulting challenges and obstacles.

Each of our winners received a bike courtesy of Charles Boyk Law Offices. The bikes were fitted, and a helmet and lock were provided by Wersell’s Bike Shop. They also received LED bike lights from Brightz, a Toledo-based company that sells recreational lighting products nationwide.
