$200,000 SETTLEMENT – Woman Suffers Broken Hip after Injury in an Urgent Care Facility
Our 74-year-old client was entering the Greater Midwest Urgent Care facility in Rossford, Ohio. There was an uneven edge at the base of the door, which caused our client to trip and fall. She was left lying on the floor, not given a wheelchair or anything else to help. Finally, one of the employees called an EMS and she was taken to ProMedica Hospital. She was diagnosed with a right hip fracture and required emergency surgery the very next day. She required physical therapy, occupational therapy, and was placed in a short-term inpatient rehabilitation center. Her doctor reported that she will continue to feel pain and some weakness in her hip permanently.
