$155,000 SETTLEMENT – Woman Tears Rotator Cuff After Being Hit by Tractor

Our client was driving westbound on country road 13 in Jackson Township, Ohio. She was following a tractor on the road. She began to legally pass the tractor, when suddenly the tractor began to turn. The tractor collided with the passenger side of our client’s car. The driver of the tractor was cited for a failure to turn or stop safely violation. Our client went to St. Charles Emergency Department due to pain in her right shoulder. After being evaluated by a doctor, our client was found to have a full thickness rotator cuff tear. She required multiple surgeries and strenuous physical therapy.

Charles Boyk and his team worked with our client through her entire treatment. When the statute of limitations was near, Charles Boyk filed our client’s case. The team went through the litigation process, but was able to negotiate with the insurance company to come to an agreement for a settlement offer. Our firm used multiple doctor reports, mediations, and depositions to get our client the compensation she deserved. Our client agreed to a $155,000 settlement with the insurance company.
