$131,031 Settlement – Woman Sustains Injury to Spine and Shoulder in Slip and Fall Accident

While working a shift at a grocery store in Toledo, Ohio, our client sustained numerous injuries as a result of a slip and fall accident. A puddle of water had accumulated on the floor near a section of freezers, and it had been left unattended to by staff. As our client was walking through the store, she did not notice the water, causing her to slip and fall. The following day our client went to the emergency room as she was experiencing a significant amount of pain from the fall. At the emergency room she was diagnosed with injury to her cervical and lumbar spine, and to her left shoulder.

However, our client did not find any relief from these treatment methods and so her doctor then recommended surgery. She was required to under two separate surgical procedures, one to address the injury to her lumbar spine, the other to repair the injury to her shoulder. After the surgeries, our client began physical therapy again where she spent an extensive amount of time working to rehabilitate her injuries. Despite all the medical treatment and therapy our client underwent to repair her injuries, she still experienced continued pain that restricted her mobility and impacted her life greatly.
