$128,744.20 SETTLEMENT

Our client was lawfully operating her vehicle in Toledo, Ohio, when the defendant pulled out of a parking lot directly in front of her. The Toledo Police Department cited the defendant for failure to yield.

As a result of the collision, our client suffered significant personal injuries. She presented to the emergency department with severe neck pain, headaches, and stiffness that were aggravated by everyday activities such as bending, twisting, driving, and lifting.

Diagnostic imaging revealed cervical spine abnormalities, including disc osteophyte complexes at C3-4 and C4-5 with mild foraminal narrowing. She underwent medial branch nerve block procedures, physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, and multiple injection therapies, achieving only moderate relief. Despite these efforts, she continues to experience chronic pain radiating into her shoulders, muscle spasms, and functional limitations. Her injuries prevent her from performing more than sedentary work duties.

Because of the persistence and severity of her symptoms, she requires ongoing pain management and interventional care, and she continues to endure lasting effects from the crash.

The team at Boyk, led by Attorney Andrea Young, tried the case and successfully secured a verdict for compensation for the costs of her treatment and additional damages.
