$112,000 Settlement – Woman Suffers Whiplash When Rear Ended by A Negligent Driver
Car Accident InjuriesIn 2015, our client was injured in an automobile accident when she was attempting to pull into a gas station and had slowed to a stop to make the turn into the location. As she slowed, the defendant failed to maintain assured clear distance behind our client’s car and rear ended her. Due to the impact of the collision, our client suffered whiplash and an injury to her hip. The injuries she sustained in the car accident required her to incur a substantial amount of medical bills and she suffered a great amount of pain because of her injuries. Due to the extent of the injury to her hip, she was also required to undergo surgery to repair it.
Our firm was retained shortly after the accident to assist our client in her recovery and we filed suit in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court. We were successful in obtaining a policy limits settlement offer from the defendant’s insurance company. We also increased our client’s recovery by arguing that her underinsured motorist coverage applied to cover her damages beyond what the defendant’s policy covered.
