$100,000 Settlement – Pedestrian Sustains Rotator Cuff Tear When He Is Hit By Car in Parking Lot

In 2017, as our client was leaving a pet store in St. Clairsville, Ohio and attempting to enter his truck, he was struck by the defendant driver, who hit him as she was trying to park. While initially our client did not think that his injuries were serious, several days later he continued to have pain in his shoulder and sought medical treatment. Upon following up with an orthopedic doctor, our client was diagnosed with a complete tear to his rotator cuff. He subsequently underwent surgery to repair the injury.

Though his prognosis was deemed good following his post-operative appointments, our client still faced several months of recovery and the possibility that he would deal with restricted mobility and other physical limitations in the future. Due to the injury, our client was also forced to miss a significant amount of work which caused a substantial financial strain on him and his family.

Our client reached out to our firm shortly after the accident for assistance in his recovery. Due to a successful negotiation, we were able to avoid the need for our client to undergo stressful litigation as we were able to obtain a satisfactory settlement for him. The settlement we were able to obtain for our client will go a long way to account for the injuries and losses he incurred.
