$100,000 Settlement – Man Fractures Hip When Negligent Driver Runs Red Light
Car Accident InjuriesIn 2016, our client was driving in Toledo, Ohio when he was severely injured in a motor vehicle accident. Our client had a green light and made his way through the intersection. As he did, the defendant driver, whose light was red, ran the red light causing a collision between the two vehicles. When emergency medical services arrived on the scene of the accident, our client was transported to the hospital due to the extent of his injuries.
At the hospital, our client was diagnosed with a fracture to his left hip. He was subsequently admitted to the hospital where he underwent a surgery to repair the fracture which required the implantation of hardware into our client’s hip. He remained in the hospital for the next seven days until he was discharged to continue his recovery at home.
Our client, who was in excellent physical condition prior to the accident, was forced to take off more than eight months of work as he was unable to bear any weight on his injured hip. Prior to the accident, our client had seldomly taken a day off from the job he had been working for the last 32 years. Not only did the accident result in extreme physical pain for our client, but he has also incurred a large amount of medical bills and suffered financially as he lost an enormous amount of wages due his extended time off. It was expected that even when he could return to work, he would not be able to fully perform his duties, resulting in further loss for our client.
