$100,000 Settlement – Elderly Woman Sustains Spinal Injury and Broken Ribs in Auto Accident

In August 2014, our 82-year-old client sustained severe injuries when she was involved in a motor vehicle accident. As our client was driving, the defendant driver failed to see our client’s oncoming car and pulled out in front of her causing a collision between the two vehicles. Emergency medical services were called to the scene and our client was transferred by ambulance to a nearby hospital. After an investigation, the defendant was found to be at fault for causing the accident and was cited.

At the hospital, our client was diagnosed with several broken ribs and an injury to her spinal cord. She was admitted to the hospital for the next five days to treat her injuries and regain her strength. Our client was then discharged from the hospital to an inpatient rehabilitation facility, where she remained for the following two months to further her recovery.
