$100,000 Settlement – 75-Year-Old Man Sustains Numerous Fractures When Rear Ended at Stop Light

In 2018, our client sustained several injuries when he was involved in a motor vehicle collision. Our client had been stopped at a red light when the defendant driver, who was texting while driving, failed to see the red light and rear-ended our client at about 60 miles per hour. The impact of the collision caused our client to be knocked unconscious. He was transported from the scene via ambulance to a nearby hospital to assess his injuries. At the hospital, our client was found to have suffered several facial fractures, a broken nose, and spinal fractures. He was admitted to the hospital for the next three days for observation.

We were contacted shortly after the accident to help our client in his recovery. Unfortunately, the defendant in this case was an uninsured driver and therefore we were unable to recover a settlement under the defendant’s insurance policy. However, our client was covered under an uninsured motorist policy through his own insurance and due to a successful negotiation, we were able to obtain a policy limits settlement for our client under that policy.
