Boyk Law’s 2025 Bikes for Kids Contest Selects First Winners
Charles Boyk Law Offices has begun selecting the winners of our 2025 Bikes for Kids Contest.
Tommie was nominated by his mother, who said he “is a very good kid who is loving, caring, and very kind to others. Tommie has kept his grades up and stayed in good spirits after a horrific fire where his family lost everything last year.” The fire destroyed his family’s home and possessions. Boyk Law also purchased a bike for his younger sister as well.
Josiah was nominated by his teacher, who said he is “one of the best students I have ever taught. His work ethic is stupendous and his gentle and patient disposition
are remarkable. I cannot think of a more deserving young man to win a bike.” She says he is also very considerate of others, “looking out for students who may need a friend or some support,” and that “he is not swayed by peer pressure; rather, he sets the tone and example by being himself: a young man of integrity, even at ten years old.”
Ethan was nominated multiple times by family and his 8th-grade Social Studies teacher. She told us Ethan is an outstanding student who serves on his school’s student council. He helps his neighbors and also volunteers for several community organizations, including the Toledo-Lucas County Library, Metroparks, the Friendship Center of Point Place, and the Ottawa River Clean Up project. She concluded her nomination by saying, “I truly believe that Ethan is the epitome of a deserving young adult for your bike giveaway.”
Charles Boyk Law is proud to recognize the amazing kids and reward them with a new bike. Parents, teachers, family, and friends were asked to nominate a deserving child to win a bike from Charles Boyk Law Offices. These are only three of the record number of nominations that Boyk Law Offices received this year.
Boyk Law always buys the bikes from Wersell’s Bike Shop, 2860 Central Ave. Boyk Law creates profile videos for all of the winners. Watch each Wednesday, 9-10 am on WTOL’s Your Day program to see our weekly winner. Since starting this program in 2009, Boyk Law has given away more than 165 bikes, and will select more remarkable kids from all the nominations to win a brand-new bike this summer.
