Boyk Law Welcomes New Intake Specialist
Valentin Ornas is Charles Boyk Law’s new intake specialist.
He was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, but his family moved to East Toledo when he was 7 years old. Valentin attended Toledo Early College High School and studied to be a Paralegal at the University of Toledo.
His parents immigrated from Leon, the most populous city in the Mexican state of Guanajuato.
Valentin grew up speaking both English and Spanish. He looks forward to helping clients, especially in the underserved Latino community.
“That’s kind of why I want to go into the legal field,” he says, “to bridge that gap between people who primarily just speak Spanish and need Legal Services.”
Valentin taught himself to play guitar when he was 12 after he was inspired by watching “School of Rock”. Today, he plays guitar and creates photos and videos for First Spanish Church of God in East Toledo.
“I started with the worship team, and it went from there, working to grow that worship team, and becoming the music director. It also spread into different areas at church, like being one of the youth leaders on the advisory board,” he says.
