Learn The Facts About Testosterone

What is Testosterone?

In males, the principal sex hormones produced by the body are androgens.  There are several different types of androgens, but the primary one is testosterone.  Testosterone (T) is responsible for normal growth and development of the male, including sex organs and for maintenance of secondary sex characteristics. The biologic effects of T include increased body musculature and bone density, growth and maturation of male sex organs, development of male facial and body hair, and vocal cord thickening. T also has effects on behavior, sex drive, and sexual function.

If you are reading this blog, chances are that you or someone you know has taken a prescription testosterone replacement product and suffered an adverse event while on the drug.

The attorneys in our office want to educate the public on prescription testosterone treatments and the growing body of scientific studies linking testosterone replacement therapy to an increased risk of serious adverse cardiac events, including heart attacks, blood clots, strokes, and death. The purpose is not to provide legal or medical advice, but solely to provide information to the public about the potential emerging health risk.

Our firm is investigating individual cases on behalf of men across the nation who have suffered clots, heart attacks, strokes, or other serious side effects while using a prescription “low T” product. If you or a loved one has suffered any of these adverse effects, it is imperative that you seek legal assistance immediately.
