Witnesses to this tragic event told police that they saw 17-year-old Kurt Strongosky driving his Camaro at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and traveled left of center, striking James Harstine, 66, who was riding a Suzuki motorcycle.
Mr. Harstine was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Mr. Strongosky was flown from the scene of the wreck to an area hospital where his current physical condition is unknown at this particular time.
The accident remains under investigation as the police authorities seek to fully realize the events that took place before, during, and after this fatal event.
Our thoughts are with Mr. Harstine’s friends and family during this extremely devastating time.
We hate to hear that someone has lost their life, especially when it is from the negligence of another party. These accidents can be prevented!
