What experience do you have in this practice area?
If you are seeking a lawyer to represent you for a certain type of accident or injury, you’re going to want to ensure that the lawyer you hire is well-versed in that practice area. There are specific things that apply to different areas of the law so if your lawyer doesn’t have extensive experience with the area that your case falls into, you may pay the price.
How will I be charged for your services?
Many lawyers do not require any funds throughout the case. If lawyers charged for their services at the beginning of the case, fewer people would pursue legal action because not many people have extra funds lying around.
The lawyers at our office operate on a contingent fee. This means that we will not expect to get paid until after the case has settled, at which point the agreed upon amount at the start of the case (usually 1/3 of the settlement) is paid to the lawyer. Who will I communicate with throughout the case?
When you agree to hire a lawyer to represent your case, part of the reason is that you feel comfortable with that individual and you trust them. That being said, after you agree to hire a lawyer, you will not want to be passed onto someone else throughout your case. We understand this which is why our lawyers are available to communicate with you and answer the questions that you will have every step of the way.
