Nap Nanny Baby Recliners Recalled
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has released that over 150,000 Nap Nanny baby recliners have been recalled. The recliner has been linked to at least 5 infant deaths and many more reports of children nearly falling out of the recliner.
The product was sold by four retailers- Amazon.com, Buy Buy Baby, Diapers.com, and Toys R Us/Babies R Us. These four companies have agreed to voluntarily participate in the recall because of the manufacturers of it, Baby Matters LLC is unable or unwilling to participate. The company has reportedly gone out of business.
The problem with the Nap Nanny is that contains dangerous design defects, warnings, and instructions. Included in this recall are Nap Nanny Generations One and Two as well as the Chill model infant recliners.
These models were sold at the retailers above from 2009 to 2012.
