Mandatory Report Employee Car Accident During Level 3 Snow Emergency

While Lucas County and the surrounding area have been under a Level 3 Snow Emergency for the last three days, there are still some personnel who must report to work.

Medical personnel must still report to work during the weather conditions that we are currently experiencing.

Those who work at the hospitals, nursing homes, and other places throughout our area are expected to report to work. Either they can make their own way there, or possibly have a volunteer transport them.

Arctic Blast hit the Toledo area

This morning there was an accident on Airport and Byrne. One of the drivers was a Level 3 Mandatory Report Employee at UTMC.

She was on her way to UTMC when the accident occurred in the intersection. We are sending her and the other individual involved well wishes, hoping that there were no injuries that resulted from the accident.

Medical personnel are not the only employees that must report to work even though the roads are dangerous.

Others that are expected to make their way to work are essentials news media employees and reporters, firefighters, employees of essential facilities and providers (i.e. Toledo Edison, First Solar), and others. If you or a loved one is an essential employee who has been mandated to report to work, let us know your position in the comments below.

Vehicle Accident During Snow Emergency

The questions that some people have regarding this mandated report to work is what will happen if they are involved in an accident. The roads are clearly not suited for travel, so if they are involved in an accident, what are their options?

Contact an Attorney

The most important thing we would tell any mandatory employee is to call a lawyer if they are involved in an accident. If they have suffered injury, a lawyer will help them to file a claim to receive compensation. If they have other questions regarding their options due to the fact that they were on the road because of their employer, the best person to speak to would again be a lawyer.

Call 800.637.8170 to speak to one of the lawyers at our office about your accident. They will be happy to go over what happened, discuss any injuries, and to answer any and all of the questions that you have surrounding the accident. Our office also gives free case evaluations over the phone so you can be aware of your legal options as soon as possible.
