The report that was released included several facts and statistics that have prompted law enforcement to pay special attention to traffic safety, especially on Super Bowl weekend.

Being that it is Super Bowl Sunday, law enforcement officials said that they would be increased their patrols to help prevent drunk driving, as many individuals will be attending game day parties. Safety during Super Bowl Sunday

Another safety initiative in effect is the “Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk” campaign. The Ohio State Highway Patrol has joined other agencies in promoting this campaign, hoping to increase the number of designated drivers for the Super Bowl. It involves the promotion of friends and families to pay a role influencing safe and responsible decisions.

Our office certainly hopes that the initiative helps to prevent drunk driving as we have seen the consequences that come from such poor decisions. Drunk driving accidents can result in serious injuries and fatalities, so any way that the community can prevent such accidents is good.

We would also like to ask our readers to be safe this Super Bowl Sunday, along with every other day. Designate a sober driver, and if there is no sober driver, please call a cab or a friend or family member. Driving under the influence of alcohol is not worth it. We could share numerous client stories and cases to help anyone to better understand how impaired driving can result in horrible consequences.
