Felony Charges Expected Against Driver In Double Hit-And-Run
Police have a 38-year-old man in custody facing Felony charges. This man is a suspect of a hit and run incident that injured a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man Friday night.
The two victims are Clinton Township residents. They were hit by the man in a pick up truck around 7 pm on Friday evening.
The accident occurred on 15 Mile Road, just east of Griswald Street in Clinton Township.
According to witnesses the suspect did not brake or stop at the scene. The victims were taken to Mt. Clemens Regional Hospital where the 19-year-old was in extreme critical condition with head trauma and the 20-year-old was in serious, but stable condition.
An eyewitness followed the suspect and got the license plate number and a description of the vehicle that they believed to be the one that had caused the hit-and-run accident. Police then later tracked down and arrested the suspect in question, a Macomb Township man, within hours of the incident.
