According to the Findlay Courier, it was reported by the Wood County Sherriff’s Office that 39-year-old Jared Zernhel was pronounced dead at the scene of the car accident. Zernhel was driving his pickup truck south on Sand Ridge Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the U.S. 6 intersection, which resulted in his pickup being struck by a tractor trailer that was westbound on U.S. 6 The fatal accident happened at 10:19 p.
m. on Friday at the intersection of U.S. 6 and Sand Ridge Road, near Bowling Green, OH.

When a driver fails to yield and causes an accident, they are violating the Ohio Revised Code 4511.43 Right of way rule at through highway, stop signs, yield signs.
