Dippin’ Stix And Armour’s Cheese Pizza Lunch Kits Recalled
Reichel Foods has announced a voluntary recall of two of their products: Dippin Stix Sliced Apples & Caramel with Peanuts and also Armour Active Packs Cheese Pizza Lunch Kits.
These products have the potential of being contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This is an organism that can cause serious or fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and those with weakened immune systems. Most healthy individuals would only suffer minor symptoms like high fever, severe headache, stiffness, and nausea. Listeria can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths.
The problem was discovered during microbiological testing, but as of yet, there are not incidents reported. If you have purchased this product, you should dispose of it immediately or return in for a refund.
