Crash On I-75 Injures 2
Late Thursday night there was a crash on I-75 southbound in Rossford that injured two people and caused traffic to be at a standstill.
Isaiah Slaughter, 21, was driving northbound on I-75 when he lost control of his vehicle. He then went through the median and into the southbound lanes, striking 47-year-old Lisa Herzog’s car head-on. Herzog’s car went off the west side of the road and struck a guardrail.
Slaughter has suffered serious injuries from the accident, but fortunately, they are non-life threatening. He was taken to Toledo Hospital by Rossford EMS.
Herzog sustained minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center by Northwood EMS.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to both involved in this accident. With a head-on crash like this, it is very fortunate that the injuries are non-life threatening. We wish both individuals a speedy recovery.
Legal Options for Injured Driver
It appears as though the at-fault driver in this accident is Slaughter, who lost control of his vehicle and went through the median. Herzog would be able to pursue a personal injury claim for this accident. She could seek compensation for her injuries and property damages.
We would advise anyone involved in a car accident such as this to contact a lawyer as soon as possible. While recovering from injuries is obviously the most important thing, contacting an attorney soon after the accident can help in terms of collecting any necessary evidence, statements, and making sure that the appropriate documents are filed.
