Construction Worker Dies In Bridge Accident

A bridge inspector died on Wednesday after an accident underneath an overpass on Interstate 279. The worker, Tripat Mann, had been pinned between the basket of a lift and the bridge girder. After being lowered to the ground, a trooper on scene gave him cardiopulmonary resuscitation while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

Mann was taken to Allegheny General Hospital following the accident where he later died due to injuries. The accident is currently under investigation with no other details available.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mann family. This type of accident is unimaginable and we wish them comfort during this difficult time.

While the accident is still under investigation, it is likely that the family of the victim will be able to file a wrongful death claim on behalf of Tripat Mann. Wrongful death claims are very involved and confusing in regards to statutes, as well as other legal rules and regulations. We advise anyone who wrongfully lost a loved one to contact an attorney as soon as possible to ensure that all bases are covered and the process goes as smoothly as it possibly can.
