Children’s Water Bottles Pose Severe Choking Hazard

The Charles E. Boyk Law Offices would like to keep you informed about the recall of children’s water bottles. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Here is some information on the product:

The Hennes and Mauritz Company, an upscale clothier more commonly referred to as H&M, has issued a recall on water bottles distributed exclusively through their retail outlets. The water bottles are 16 ounces, come in pink and blue coloring, and have the titles ‘‘H&M Sweden’’ and ‘‘www.hm.com’’ embossed on the bottom of the bottle.

These products pose a choking hazard especially to children, as the spout of the water bottle can pop off and become dislodged in the throat of the victim.

2,900 of these bottles were distributed nationwide between July and August 2012, and further information on the recall can be found at the H&M website.
