Attorney Charles Boyk Gives Back To Start High School Students
The Charles. E. Boyk Law Office is hosting a Student of the Month Contest at Start High School, as well as a Teacher Appreciation Contest. Attorney Boyk attended Start High School and wants to show the school his support and help both teachers and students thank one another for the hard work and care that they put in each and every day.
The October Student of the Month is Shavella Hill who was nominated by her World Studies teacher, Jennifer Peluso. Her nomination is below:
“Shavella is a hard-working, polite student. She has entered high school with a positive outlook and has taken her educational responsibilities seriously. She is helpful (especially during a time when I had a substitute), and is willing to assist other students when asked.”
The Reveal
Our cameras were at Start High School when Shavella found out that she was Student of the Month. The nominating teacher, Ms. Peluso, was in the room to recognize Shavella and explain why she believed that she deserved the award.
“She’s a helper and she studies hard and she works hard…I couldn’t ask for a better freshman, especially at the beginning of the year. A lot of freshman coming in are completely overwhelmed but she came right in and got going.
”
