Wrongful death accidents are tragically a part of our modern society. Freak accidents due happen and good people loose their lives.
A tough to question to ask in such a deeply sad time is how do I file a wrongful death claim? Recently Lisa, a curious citizen, asked that question. In short, the answer is the person that usually files the wrongful death claim is the executor of the deceased and they do so on behalf of all “real parties” in interest.
Real parties being…
- Immediate family members of the deceased
- Life partners, putative spouses, financial dependents
- Distant family members
- All those who suffer financially
