Woman files $9M lawsuit in Ottawa Hills traffic stop

The 24-year-old Toledo woman who was pulled from her car and wrestled to the ground during a confrontation with an Ottawa Hills police officer has filed a $9 million lawsuit in U.S. District Court claiming civil rights violations and other charges. LaToya Brown, of 1302 Brookview Drive, Apt. 24, filed the lawsuit yesterday against Ottawa Hills, its police department, police Chief Robert Overmeyer, and former police Officer Mark Deters, who resigned from the police department nine days after the incident.
