Mancy's Italian Restaurant, Charles E. Boyk Law Offices Team Up for Fundraiser

TOLEDO, Ohio (Dec. 9, 2010)-As part of a continued effort to save Lupe Ramos's house from foreclosure, Mancy's Italian Restaurant and the Charles E. Boyk Law Offices are working together to raise money.

On Monday, Dec. 13 and Tuesday, Dec. 14 dinner patrons at Mancy's Italian (located at 5453 Monroe St. in Toledo) will have the chance to donate part of their total bill to the Love for Lupe campaign.

Guests who wish to participate will receive an entry card when they are seated. They must simply write "Looped for Lupe" on a copy of their check at the end of their meal and 20% of the total bill will go to the charity. Their completed entry card will then go into a drawing for a $50 Mancy's holiday gift card.

"We want to reward the people who come in and make an effort," said Gus Mancy.

Last year, Lupe's son and brother were killed in a car accident; a few weeks later, her home burned to the ground. The Love for Lupe project gave her a car, a new home and a job.

Now, though, Lupe needs help to keep her home. The mortgage holder of Lupe's new house is demanding $6,000 by the end of the year to keep it out of foreclosure. About $2,000 has been raised so far.
