The settlement in a tragic work accident has been settled. The lawsuit stems from an awful accident that took place while a father and son were working together.

Both father and son were employed at a company that worked with lumber. A piece of lumber was ejected out of the in-feed section of an industrial planer. The piece of lumber was ejected at such a high rate ofn speed that it traveled almost 40 feet before striking and killing both father and son.

The defendants in the case, United States Resources Inc. and Coe Manufacturing Company are the makers of this machine. Through testimony obtained it was found that the company did in fact know that the planer would kick-back lumber at high rates of speed during operation. The defendant's never warned the decedants of this deadly hazard.

The case was settled for a confidential amount in Jackson County, Florida.
