Toys R Us Recalls Remote-Controlled Helicopter

The Fast Lane FA-005 Radio Control 3-Channel Helicopter with Gyro Stabilizer and Charger, sold at Toys R Us stores, has been recalled due to a fire and burn hazard.

The hazard exists because the helicopters rechargeable battery can overheat and pose a risk for fire or burns to both consumers and nearby items.

The helicopter model number 5F5F2F5 can be found on the front of the package as well as on the underside of the helicopter. The helicopters are blue and white in color and measure approximately 9 inches high. The Fast Lane logo can be found on the top of the helicopter.

The affected helicopters were sold with a remote control unit and battery charger, as well as a carrying case.

Injuries from Fast Lane Helicopters

There have been 11 reports of the rechargeable battery overheating but no injuries as of now. The Consumer Product Safety Commission urges consumers to stop using the helicopter immediately and return the device to Toys R Us for a full refund.
