Toledo teen killed blocks from his home| Toledo Ohio personal injury attorney

A Toledo teenager was killed late Saturday in a traffic crash near Highland Park, just blocks from his home.
Deshyren Koonce, was a rear passenger in a car driven by Darron Parker at 11:30 p.m. Mr. Parker's vehicle was hit from behind by a car driven by Arthur Hayes, at the intersection of South and Geneva avenues. The collision sent Mr. Parker's vehicle veering into a steel light pole.
According to the report, both cars were eastbound on South Avenue, with Mr. Hayes closely following Mr. Parker's vehicle. When they reached the intersection with Geneva Avenue, Mr. Parker slowed but Mr. Hayes was unable to brake. He attempted to swerve and miss the vehicle, but hit the rear bumper, sending the car sliding into the pole.
