The Ohio State Highway Patrol has reported that a car accident on I-80 has left one 15-year-old girl dead.

The crash happened on Thursday when , according to reports, a Ford Expedition that was traveling in the westbound lanes near North Royalton, Ohio lost control on the wet pavement and veered off the road, striking an embankment. The vehicle came to rest turned over. The 15-year-old passenger was ejected from the third row. From the scene the girl was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The other 6 occupants in the vehicle were taken from the scene to a nearby hospital for the treatment of their injuries, which are being described as non-life threatening.
