State Highway Patrol Investigating Turnpike Accident ? Truck accident attorney Toledo Ohio

On Wednesday Ohio State Highway Patrol, led by Lt. Glenn Peterson, were investigating an accident that accorded on the Ohio Turnpike where a tractor-trailer rig went into the closed lanes of a work zone just west of State Rt. 53. The truck hit three workers and crashed into three maintenance vehicles.

 

Driver of the truck was Edward Mills, 53, of Doylestown, Ohio was taken to the

neurological intensive-care unit at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo and was unavailable to be interviews by officials. Foster John Fletcher, 53, of Perrysburg was a turnpike assistant maintenance foreman was hit and killed during the accident. The other two surviving workers were James Roudebush, 55, of Millbury and Anthony J. Stout, 24, of Clyde, Ohio were taken to The University of Toledo Medical Center and are still in critical condition. The two survivors also could not be interviewed as of yet.

 

Lt. Peterson said that it is still uncertain what caused this accident but they were looking into the speed of the rig. Also that from interviews with some of the witnesses at the site of the crash they saw the truck slowly veer into the closed work area.
