Sandusky accident pins sanitation worker onto the back of the garbage truck | Sandusky Ohio Truck Accident Attorney

Sanitation workers do have a dangerous job. While they are picking up garbage along the side of the road they have to be on the lookout for cars and trucks along the road. Unfortunately one man wasn’t so lucky yesterday and ended up being pinned in-between a car and the back of the garbage truck.

Canfield-Hartley employee Chris Thompson, was loading trash into the back of the garbage truck around rush hour on Monday November 28, 2011. Thompson was struck by a 2010 Chevy Malibu. The crash had him pinned between the car and truck where he remained for about 45 minutes while local Fire and EMS departments tried to free him. He suffered severe injuries to his waist and legs and was flown to the University of Toledo Medical Center late Monday night where he was listed in serious condition.

The Chevy Malibu’s driver — Anthony Demore,  of Sandusky — was also injured and taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center which is located in Sandusky Ohio.
